2020 Information Commissioner’s Award

The global pandemic has impacted the operations of all federal institutions, including those of their ATIP units. While there is always a desire for greater disclosure and more timely responses from institutions, over the past six months the efforts of some individuals or teams have stood out, and deserve to be recognized.

From the onset of the pandemic, Peter Hull and his ATIP team at CBC/Radio-Canada demonstrated their commitment to the access to information system by sparing no effort to ensure their operations could continue.

They have continued to hold bi-weekly meetings with the OIC to ensure timely follow-ups and have made it their priority to deal with complaints swiftly.

In recognition of Mr. Hull's leadership, and the dedication and collaborative spirit of his team, the Commissioner is proud to present the 2020 Information Commissioner’s Award to the CBC/Radio-Canada ATIP team.
